Valeeta was born on July 8, 1945 to the late Ira and Edna Frazier in Martin, Kentucky.
Despite the challenges of her life, she was gracious and strong-willed. She was devoted to the well being and happiness of her handicapped children, Brian and Laura Katherine (“Katie”). She was likewise devoted to her husband of more than 50 years, Tim Fitzgerald.

Valeeta earned a Master’s degree in Library Science, and her contributions to the educational world were deeply respected by all who knew her.
Valeeta is survived by her husband, Tim Fitzgerald; her son, Brian Fitzgerald; her brother, Douglas Frazier; sisters in law, Kathleen (Richard) Roark, and Janet (Douglas) Allgeier; her two nieces, and three nephews.
She is preceded in death by her daughter, Katie Fitzgerald.
In her final act of kindness, Valeeta donated her brain and spinal column to medical science at the University of Cincinnati, a testament to her enduring desire to contribute to the betterment of others, even after her passing. She will be remembered for her gracious and generous spirit.
