Obituary For Vicki Sue Adams

Vicki Sue Adams, age 85, of Crestview Hills, Kentucky, passed away peacefully in her home on March 21, 2026.

Vicki was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Howard Adams; her loving sisters, Diana Bergelt, Penny Hungler, and Pam Shipe; her nephews, Ronnie Brooks and Aldon Eveland, of whom she thought the world; her trusted cousin, Janet Beagle; and her mother and best friend Dorothy Thompson.

Vicki is survived by her dear sister, Donna Thompson, brothers-in-law, Doug Bergelt and James Hungler; nieces and nephews who she loved as her own, Melissa (Tim) Brock, Amy Brooks, and Jeffrey (Kristine) Hungler; and many cherished nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Vicki was born on March 16, 1941 in Sloans Valley, Kentucky to Dorothy Thompson. In elementary school, she moved to northern Kentucky with her mother. Later, she married Howard Adams and spent many years encouraging his entrepreneurial endeavors as he led Howard Adams Toyota. They traveled the world together and lived an adventurous life on their boat, the Adam’s Apple, which was docked at the Newport Yacht Club. They played hard, but shared all that they had generously.

To Vicki, “Down Home” in the Valley would always be her true home, and she spent her life sharing her property with all who wanted to visit and love it as she did. She loved playing cards, solving number and word puzzles, eating sweet treats, sipping white wine, gazing at flowers, shopping for sparkly things, talking (sometimes too much, in her own words) and most of all, cheering her nieces and nephews on as they grew up.

Aunt Vicki grew up in a faith-filled home and knew the love of God all her life. In her final days, she accepted Jesus Christ, was baptized, and received Holy Communion. Her family finds peace knowing she is reunited with loved ones who have gone before her and safe with her Savior in Heaven - where every tear has been wiped from her eyes. She is free of all pain and is joined with the saints in heaven as they cheer us on until we are together again in God’s perfect peace.

A Celebration of Life will be held April 19, 2026 from 3:00pm-7:00pm at the Erlanger Lions Club on Sunset Avenue. To honor her cheerful spirit, guests are encouraged to wear something bright or glittering. At a private ceremony, she will be laid rest next to cousin Janet, with a deck of Skip-Bo cards, in the place she loved all her life, the Sloan’s Valley Cemetery.
