Obituary For Virgil Cole
Virgil Cole, 80, of Cincinnati, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, April 15, 2026, with his family by his side. He was born March 13, 1946, in Berry, Kentucky, the son of the late Alson Cole, Sr. and Virgie Dickerson Cole.
He was retired from Overhead Door of Kentucky with 38 years of service. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Glen Este; he was a faithful Christian man who loved spending time with his family. He played guitar and loved music (Gospel and Bluegrass).
He was married October 17, 1967, to Darlene Young Cole, who survives. Also surviving are his children, Lisa Peterson (Tony); Susan Cole Cooper; Brian Cole (Sugar); Adam Cole (Kelly); and Amanda Cole; two brothers, Ricky Cole and Alson Cole, Jr; two sisters, Debbie Gill and Betty Hannah; 15 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM Monday, April 20, 2026, at the Floral Hills Funeral Home, Chapel A, with Jim Neal and Mark Martin officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 9- 11 AM. Interment will be at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
