Virginia Lainhart, age 89, of Hebron, passed away on Tuesday, August 8, 2023. She was born at home in 1933, in Florence, KY, to the late David and Selma Osborn. Virginia was the loving wife of 52 years to the late Donald Lainhart. She leaves behind her dear sister, Ella Stambaugh; niece, Lana Stambaugh (John) and nephews, Neal Stambaugh (Krista) and Scott Stambaugh (Amy). She was a woman of strong faith and was a former member of Florence Baptist and Hebron Baptist Church. Virginia proudly served as a past state President of the Woodman of the World Life Insurance Society and the Hebron Fire Board. She was also a member of the Boone County Historical Society and the Boone County Democratic Party and was a proud Kentucky Colonel. She loved helping others and always enjoyed volunteering to help Veterans. Friends and family will gather at STITH FUNERAL HOME, 7500 US HWY 42, FLORENCE, KY 41042, on Saturday, August 12, 2023 beginning at 10:00 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 12:00 p.m. Burial will immediately follow at Florence Cemetery. In honor of Virginia’s love for animals, specifically cats, memorials are suggested to the Boone County Animal Shelter 5643 Idlewild Rd, Burlington, KY 41005.
