Obituary For Voicel Marie Noe
Voicel Marie Noe, 85, of Florence, KY, passed away on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Florence. The daughter of the late Stella Mae {Lee} and Roscoe Vae Gaddis, Voicel was born in Creaton, KY on October 10, 1940. Voicel dedicated more than 30 years of service to Boone County Schools, where she faithfully worked first as a cafeteria worker and later as a custodian.
A devoted member of Bethel Baptist Church, Voicel's faith was the cornerstone of her life. She loved God above all else and lived each day with a servant's heart. Voicel found great joy in spending time with her family. She treasured every moment with her beloved grandchildren, who affectionately knew her as "Grandma," and her great-grandchildren, who called her “Gigi.”
Voicel will be remembered as a generous, independent, forthright, faithful, and kind-hearted woman. She never met a stranger and had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel welcome. In her spare time, she enjoyed shopping for clothes as well as looking through family photographs reminiscing about the many memories they held.
She will be deeply missed by her daughters, Connie (Larry) Turner and Lisa (Jeff) Tyree; her chosen daughter, Lisa Williams; her grandchildren, Jackie (Brian), Danielle (Bo), Tommy (Ivy), Kasey (Justin), Brandon (Hannah), Nathan (Shelby), and Kayla (Wesley); her greatgrandchildren, Dylan, Jasmine, Noah, Tyler, Aurora, Kenzley, Maddox, Blair, Kyrie, Lucas, and one great-grandbaby on the way; and her special friend, Mary Delph.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Jimmy Noe, and her sister, Jean Pierce.
A visitation will be held between 10 AM and 12 PM with a funeral service to begin at 12 PM on Saturday, August 8th at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, 11382 Madison Pike Independence, KY 41051. Voicel will be laid to rest at Hopeful Lutheran Church Cemetery immediately following her service. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital by clicking here.
