Obituary For Wanda Lea Hensley
Wanda Lea (Ball) Hensley, 80, of Burlington, passed away unexpectedly following a brief illness on Wednesday, July 19, 2023, at St. Elizabeth Healthcare, Florence.
Wanda was born on August 4, 1942, in Worley, McCreary County, Kentucky to Arnold L. and Geneva (Pullum) Ball, who precede her in death. She was a retired custodian for the Boone County Public Schools at Stephens Elementary, Burlington and a Kentucky Colonel.
Surviving is her husband of 64 years, James E. Hensley; daughter, Patricia Ann (Reverend James) Hensley Phillips; sister, Jean (the late Jimmy) Hayes; brothers, Billy Allen (Connie) Ball, Bobby (the late Genevieve) Ball, Romie Dean (Brenda) Ball and Jimmy Dale (the late Sue) Ball; two grandchildren, Kurtis (Jessica) Phillips and Cynthia (Charles) Buttery; four great grandchildren, Dakota Phillips, Lilliana Phillips, Juniper Phillips, and Charlie Buttery; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation 10:00 am to 12:00 Noon, Saturday, July 22, 2023, at the Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, Hebron. Funeral services to immediately follow at 12:00 Noon with Reverend James Phillips officiating. Interment will be in Burlington Cemetery, Burlington.
