Obituary For Wesley Wayne Rau
Wesley Wayne Rau, 37, of Alexandria, Kentucky, formerly of Ocklawaha, Florida, passed away on February 26, 2026. He was born on October 3, 1988.
Wesley was a hardworking and devoted family man whose greatest joy in life was spending time with the people he loved. He shared a loving life with his fiancée, Sheila McIntosh, and deeply valued the family they built together. He was especially proud of Chloe and Larry, cherishing every moment he shared with them.
He was the kind of son who never hesitated to lend a hand, often helping his mother with her “honey-do list,” showing his love through quiet acts of service and care. Wesley took great pride in his work and was excited about his career crafting orthotic and prosthetic devices—a role he approached with dedication, compassion, and skill.
Wesley is survived by his fiancée, Sheila McIntosh; their children, Chloe and Larry, whom he loved as his own; his mother, Valerie Rau; his uncle, Woody DeLago (Tanya); his sister, Danielle Hensley (Jay); his sister, Jocelyn Rau; his cherished niece and nephew, Brent and Hailey Hensley; and many other family members and friends who loved him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Rau, and his beloved uncle, Jesse DeLago.
Wesley will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his generous heart, and the deep love he had for his family. Though his presence will be greatly missed, the memories he created will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Services will be held at Cooper Funeral Home in Alexandria, Kentucky on Friday March 6, 2026, from 4:00pm - 7:00pm. The service will begin at 7:00pm.
