Obituary For Wilgus Raleigh

Wilgus Raleigh, 74, of Florence, Kentucky passed away at home on July 26, 2026. He was born on November 14, 1951, to Dan and Rosie (Turner) Raleigh.

He worked for 48 years as a dedicated Forklift Operator at Sun Chemical. Wilgus enjoyed hunting, fishing and most of all, making memories with his family. He will be remembered for his quiet kindness, strong work ethic and the love he had for his children and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife Arminda Raleigh in 2016, his son-in-law Steve Mutters and his brother-in-law Eddie Ring.

He is survived by his children Melinda Mutters, Wilgus D. (Rachel) Raleigh, Ronald (Patty) Raleigh, Polly (Carl) James, and Sherry (Norb) Wulfeck; sisters Charlene (Gary) Neace and Judith Ring; and grandchildren Ashley Sabelhaus, Nathan (Bella) Raleigh, Hunter Raleigh, Donta Johnson, Leah Raleigh and Brendan Wyly.

A visitation will be held at Cooper Funeral Home in Alexandria on Thursday July 30th, 2026, from 10:00 am – 12:00 noon, with the service immediately following at 12:00 noon. The burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Southgate, KY.
