Obituary For Willard Dempsey Flynn

Willard “Bill” Dempsey Flynn, 75, of Williamstown, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, January 12, 2026.

Born on November 26, 1950, Bill was the son of the late Earl and Mindie Flynn. He proudly served his country in the United States Army as a member of the 82nd Airborne Division, a commitment that reflected his strength, discipline, and love for his nation.

Following his military service, Bill dedicated 29 years of hard work to Duro Bag, where he retired as an Adjustment Supervisor. He was known for his strong work ethic and reliability, qualities that carried through every part of his life.

Bill found joy in the simple pleasures—spending time outdoors fishing, walking, and tending to his garden. He also enjoyed playing the lottery, always hopeful and good-humored about his chances. A true animal lover, Bill had a special place in his heart for stray dogs and cats, keeping food on hand to ensure no neighborhood animal went hungry.

In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his son, Willard Flynn Jr.

He is survived by his son, Jonny Flynn; daughters, Mindie Stockton, Tera Hilligas, and Samantha Flynn; sisters, Kathy Flynn and Janie (Mike) Thomas; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren, all of whom will cherish his memory and the quiet kindness he shared so freely.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at 12:00 P.M. at First Love Community Fellowship Church, 930 Curry Lane, Dry Ridge, KY 41035. Services will be officiated by Pastor John Soddenburg.
