Obituaries

William Edward Groneck, 89, of Ft. Thomas and formerly of Alexandria and Newport, passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2026.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Nancy (nee Green); second wife, Gayla (nee Blome); brothers, Joe, Charlie, Paul, David, Mark & Rick Groneck and sisters, Mary Ann Keating & Aileen Gerhardt.

Bill is survived by his daughters, Connie (Greg) Judge & Lisa (Paul) Jackson; sons, Greg (Jinny Cardova), Gary (Donna), Kevin (Dawn) & Brian (Jessica) Groneck; 14 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; brothers Donald (Stella), Dan (Elaine), John (Jackie), Tim, Tom (Jennifer) and Bob (Sandy) Groneck; sisters, Jean (late Bill) Burkhardt, Jane (late Paul) Kolkmeier, Peggy (Jim) Grimme, Rose Ann (Paul) Weber, Pam (Gary) Goetz and Teri Moore.

Visitation will be held from 10-12 p.m., with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 12 p.m., Thursday, October 8th at St. Thomas Church, Ft. Thomas. Following the service, guests are invited to join the family for a reception in the church undercroft. Bill will be laid to rest at St. Stephen Cemetery, Ft. Thomas.
