Obituary For Willis Schneider

Willis “Will” Schneider, of Villa Hills, KY, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2026, at the age of 87. Born on December 30, 1938, in Covington, KY, he was the son of the late Willis Sr. and Louise Schneider (née Meyer).

Will was a graduate of the University of Cincinnati, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Architecture and was a member of the ATO fraternity. Although he began his career in architecture, he later joined and helped run the family business, Advanced Millwork, in Covington, KY.

Will had many passions throughout his life. In the 1950s, he was a national champion control line flyer and remained a lifelong British car enthusiast. He loved boating, was a licensed captain, a lifelong member of the Ohio River Launch Club, and an active member of the Power Squadron. He also owned Southern Ohio Marine in Bellevue, KY.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sally Schneider (née Rettig); his parents; and his brother, Albert Schneider.

He is survived by his sons, Robert “Bob” Schneider of Louisville, KY and David (Karen) Schneider of Hebron, KY; his grandsons, Thomas and Noah Schneider; and his nieces, Tracy (Jon) Jennings, Maggie (Bill Brash) Rettig, and Christy Schneider-Douglas.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at Linnemann Funeral Homes – Erlanger. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Burial will immediately follow at Highland Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made in Will’s honor to the American Cancer Society.
