Obituary For Wilma Jean Baird

Wilma Baird, 84, of Russell Springs, formally of Newport Ky. passed away on December 24, 2025, at home surrounded by her loving family.

Wilma was a true believer in Christ who participated in a women's Bible Study Group. She worked as a nurse at Rosedale Manor in Covington Ky. for years.

She devoted her life to helping others and making sure that others were taken care of. Wilma loved being with her family, sunsets, reading, flowers, thrift shopping, and bird watching. She made the most of everyday and found beauty in everything.

She was preceded in death by husband, Francis Baird, father, Herbert Riley, mother, Dottie Deaton Riley, two sons, Jeffery Baird, and Glenn Baird, granddaughter Amber Baird, brothers Roy & Raymond Riley along with her baby brother Robert Lee Riley, sister-in-law Gwen Riley and niece, Melissa Meece.

Wilma is survived by her granddaughter, Honesty (Allen) Chumbley, great-grandchildren, Payten Chumbley, Millie Chumbley, Allison Chumbley, Ashley Abell, and Aubrey Abell. Along with her sister-in-law Carol Riley, and nephews Raymond Riley, Sean Riley, Ryan Riley, Larry Riley, and Derick Riley.

Graveside Service will be held 12:00 pm Friday, January 2, 2026, at the St. Stephen Cemetery, Fort Thomas, Kentucky, with Reverend Andrew Young officiating. Burial will take place in the St. Stephen Cemetery Fort Thomas, Kentucky.
