Obituary For Wilma Louise Barrett
Wilma Louise Barrett, 93, of Melbourne, KY, passed away on October 11, 2026. She was born in Breathitt County, KY to her parents John and Jane Turner on April 28, 1933.
Wilma worked at Lakeside Nursing for many years. She enjoyed gardening, going out to eat and shopping, but most importantly she cherished the time with her family and visiting friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband William Barrett in 1984; her brothers Truman Turner, Conley Turner and Rudell Turner; and sisters Marie Helton and Mila Dean.
She leaves behind her daughter Sandy (Stephen) Rowlette; sons Samuel (Olivia) Barrett, Jack (Dollie) Barrett, Ralph (Diane) Barrett and Johnny (Lisa) Barrett; 15 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held at Cooper Funeral Home in Alexandria, KY on Monday October 19, 2026, from 10:00am -12:00 noon. The service will begin at 12 noon with the burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
