Obituary For Wilson Bennett
Wilson Bennett, 90, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2026.
Wilson was a hardworking, talented, and caring man who took great pride in providing for his family and helping those around him. He was a loving father and adoring husband who always acknowledge Nadine’s devoted work in helping raise their children. He was gifted with his hands and became a great carpenter, a talent he learned from his father. He was also an exceptional mechanic who seemed to be able to fix just about anything that was broken.
Throughout his life, Wilson worked hard to raise his family and provide them with a good life. He worked on the railroad and later drove a school bus, where he enjoyed being around the children in his community. Outside of work, he was an avid vegetable gardener and took great pride in keeping his yard looking its best. He enjoyed golfing and especially treasured the annual hunting trips he shared with his brother, nephews, and son.
Wilson was also known for his wonderful imagination, his practical jokes, and his ability to tell an amazing story. He could make people laugh and was someone others could count on when they needed a hand.
Wilson will be deeply missed by his daughters, Beverly Craddock, Brenda McMillan, Elaine (Tom) Vogt, Lisa Depenbrock, and Renee Bennett; grandchildren, Dustin (Jenny) Bennett, Josh (Rachel) Morris, Ashley (Tony) Wroblewski, Alisha Bennett, Cait (Alex) Laverne-Lily, Jacob Bechtold, TJ Vogt, Kayla Vogt, and Sean (Mary Ann) Bennett; and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nadine Bennett; son, Darrell Bennett; sister, Gloreda Lehman; and brother, Okey Bennett.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2026 from 11am to 12pm at Linnemann Funeral Home (1940 Burlington Pike Burlington, KY). Funeral services will immediately follow at 12pm. Wilson will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Alzheimer’s Association, Heart Association, or American Cancer Association.
