Obituary For Winfred Herald Hensley

Winfred Herald “Winn” Hensley, 91 years of age, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 22, 2024, with his family at his side. Winfred was born in Metcalfe County, Kentucky, to the late, Herman and Ermine Hensley. He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Bonnie J. Hensley (nee Wright) and their children, Carlita Moore (Marty), Herald Hensley, Patricia Neace (Robert) and James Hensley. He was the proud grandfather of Renee Vickers (Chuck), Aaron Moore (Amber), Jordan Moore (Marcus), Corey Moore (Kaylee), Shondrea Glenn (Zach), Diondre Hensley (Autumn), Shea Neace (Jenn), Cassie Gardner (Baker), Robin Carroll (Robert); 18 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his sister, Marcella Webb; daughter-in-law, Sabrena Hensley; and grandson, Quantavious Matthews. Winfred proudly served our country in the United States Navy. He was a talented gospel pianist and avid writer. He spent many years in the financial world, but he will be remembered most for his love of farming. Visitation will take place on Friday, April 26, 2024, from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m. at Stith Funeral Home, 7500 US HWY 42, FLORENCE, KY 41042. Burial with full military honors will immediately follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, in Erlanger, KY. Online condolences may be left for the family at: www.stithfuneralhomes.com
