The journal ranked KCPL 20th on a scale based on four per capita outputs including library visits, circulation, program attendance and public Internet use. The LJ Index gives an overall indication of how libraries stack up to their peers nationally and ranks libraries on a three, four or five-star rating. Kenton County receive a four-star ranking.

“I am thrilled that the hard work of the staff, board and volunteers along with the support from the community has resulted in this recognition,” Dave Schroeder, executive director, said. “This ranking reinforces the impact that the library has on the community and the crucial role libraries play in the lives of Kenton County residents.”
