A national expert on entrepreneurship and innovative leadership and author of Crazy is a Compliment, Linda Rottenberg, will present the keynote address for the sixth annual Women’s Initiative Breakfast.
The Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce’s Women’s Initiative is one of the largest professional women’s groups in the area and will be celebrating its sixth anniversary, starting with the annual breakfast on January 28 at the Northern Kentucky Convention Center in Covington.
At the breakfast, the second annual Spirit of Achievement award, sponsored by The Bank of Kentucky, will be presented to a deserving woman from Northern Kentucky. The Spirit of Achievement award honors women who have made a significant impact upon the progress of the Women’s Initiative, had career success and been active in the community. Last year’s recipient was Wonda Winkler of the Brighton Center.
Susan Topmiller of the Kenton County Attorney’s office, one of the co-chairs of the event said, “The annual breakfast is the event in which we all come together to celebrate the work the Women’s Initiative is doing. It’s amazing how many lives the programs are touching – from the mentor/mentee program to the roundtables to the events – evidence of the mark that women in business are making on Northern Kentucky!”
Named one of “America’s Best Leaders” by US News & World Report and one of the 100 “innovators for the 21st century” by TIME, Ms. Rottenberg is one of the world’s most dynamic and respected experts on entrepreneurship, business opportunities in emerging markets and innovative leadership for the new economy.
Co-Chair Kamela Barrier with Cors and Bassett added, “The entrepreneurial environment is on fire here! We are extremely excited to have Linda Rottenberg as our speaker this year. She is incredibly dynamic in her approach to entrepreneurial growth for men and women, both nationally and internationally. I love her message of–if people aren’t looking at you like you’re a bit crazy, then you probably aren’t thinking big enough.”
Reservations for the breakfast are required and can be made by calling 859-578-6384 or online at www.nkychamber.com. The cost is $45 per person for members and $80 for future members.
