The Dan Beard Council of Boy Scouts of America has named Bob Hoffer, DBL partner and head of the firm’s employment law division, as the 2015 Trailblazer Award recipient for his servant leadership and continued dedication to the community.
Each year, an individual in Northern Kentucky is identified by the District’s selection committee for their positive impact in the community, and Bob was a clear standout for this prestigious award. His efforts to build a better community and improve the lives of citizens in Northern Kentucky are evident and align with Scouting efforts to build future leaders for our communities.
“I’m humbled and honored to be recognized in this elite group of Trailblazers,” Hoffer said.
Past honorees include Dr. G. Edward Hughes, Dr. James and Rachel Votruba, Brent Cooper, Jim and Bert Huff, Helen Carroll, and Lytle Thomas.
The year began with Hoffer being named chair-elect for the St. Elizabeth Foundation. He has also been involved with their Business Support Committee, as well as the Samaritan Committee, as vice-chair. He has served on a number of community organizations including former President and Board Member of Diocesan Catholic Children’s Home, former Co-Chair of Diocesan Catholic Children’s Home Foundation, former Co-Chair of Diocesan Catholic Children’s Home Capital Campaign, former President and Member of Blessed Sacrament Church Pastoral Counsel, Board Member of Tri-Ed, former Member of the Advisory Board for Sisters of Divine Providence, former Member of Diocesan Pro-Life Commission, former Board Member of the Northern Kentucky Bar Association, former President of Kentucky Defense Counsel and Member of the Board of Directors of the Kentucky Defense Counsel, Member of the Notre Dame Academy Board of Directors, Member of Carmel Manor Board of Directors, and Member of Carmel Manor’s Council Ethics Committee.
