Fast Pitch sponsor commends regional nonprofits, explains why contributing to the cause matters

Social Venture Partners Cincinnati prepares for its annual Fast Pitch event, which will bring together passionate philanthropists and business professionals in a collaborative approach to strengthen support for local nonprofits.

Fast Pitch would not be possible without the support of the award donors, who have collectively contributed more than $30,000 for the eleven awards that will be presented to the deserving nonprofits. This presents the question of why foundations are so willing to provide funding to Fast Pitch.

Kate Keller, vice president of Interact for Health, explains why Fast Pitch sponsorship is far more than a simple act of charity.

Fast Pitch “is an opportunity for engagement between donor and recipient. The event opens communication and provides exposure of the nonprofit to the community”, explains Keller.

The event is an opportunity for nonprofit innovators to share their story with a new audience in a fun and energetic environment. Simultaneously, Fast Pitch forges new relationships with business professionals through the preemptive coaching sessions SVP provides. After months of hard-work, the eight finalists compete against one another in an attempt to win the audience and judges over.

Being an award sponsor makes for an even more exciting night.

“Hearing all of the pitches, and having a say in who wins the award that has your name attached to it is fun; to say the least,” said Keller.

Fast Pitch, which will occur at 6 p.m. on Feb. 11, at Memorial Hall, will be a step closer toward community support of local nonprofits.

“It is my hope that over time it continues to grow, and there are more opportunities for local agencies to participate and pitch their ideas on what they want to do” says Keller.
