On Friday, March 27 from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m., the Northern Kentucky Chamber will host candidates in the contested Republican primary for Governor. This luncheon will feature the four candidates vying for the GOP nomination in the May primary election. Confirmed speakers for the event are:
· Matt Bevin: Louisville businessman
· James Comer: Current Kentucky Commissioner of Agriculture
· Hal Heiner: Louisville businessman
· Will T. Scott: former Kentucky Supreme Court Justice
“This will be only the second time in twenty years Kentucky will experience an open seat gubernatorial election. Given our state’s financial situation, this election is the most critical one in several decades, and it’s important for us to provide the opportunity to our members and community to hear directly from the candidates on their records and platforms,” said NKY Chamber President/CEO Trey Grayson. “Following the May primary election, it is our intention to then host a similar event that would include the Republican nominee and presumed-Democratic nominee Attorney General Jack Conway.”
Government Forum: Meet the GOP Candidates for Governor is sponsored by Duke Energy and Fidelity Investments, and will be held at the Holiday Inn Cincinnati Airport (1717 Airport Exchange Blvd., Erlanger).
