The National Weather Service in Wilmington has issued a winter storm warning for Northern Kentucky from 7 p.m. Friday until 7 p.m. Saturday.
Snow accumulations of 3 to 5 inches, along with ice accumulations of less than a tenth of an inch and dangerous wind chills, are possible. Frigid conditions will be dangerous to those venturing outside; exposure may cause frostbite.
Snow will develop across the area tonight, becoming heavy late tonight. The snow will then mix with rain during the day on Saturday, causing hazardous driving conditions.
Precautionary/preparedness actions:
‣ Dress in layers to trap body heat and to insulate against cold air.
‣ Cover as much exposed skin as possible.
‣ Stay dry.
‣ Use extreme caution if traveling tonight or Saturday.
