Bellevue Renaissance is reminding potential shoppers to “think local” and think about the negative impact the extended bad weather has had on small businesses.
The organization, an accredited Kentucky Main Street program, is aimed at facilitating downtown revitalization, public-private partnerships and economic development in an historic preservation context. So it has some specific small businesses in mind, right in the heart of Bellevue itself.
March is the perfect time, Bellevue Renaissance says, to play along historic Fairfield Avenue with these three Bellevue Renaissance events:
Shop Bellevue!
Start the Madness on Friday, March 6 beginning at 5 p.m.
Enjoy an NCAA themed scavenger hunt: Find a photograph of a well-known coach in each participating shop and match it to their name and team. Plus, many of the participating businesses will have specials for patrons wearing their favorite team’s colors.
Winter Carnival
Saturday, March 7 from noon to 4 p.m.
Join Anna and Elsa from Disney’s megahit “Frozen” along with magician Paul Presto, balloon artist Greg Wilson and other kid friendly events like face painting, cookie decorating, and winter-themed games with prizes. This event is generously sponsored by Citizens Bank of Northern Kentucky and Cleves and Lonnemann Jewelers.
Third Saturday Celebration
The Power of the Purple Ribbon Scavenger Hunt on Saturday, March 21 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Walk the Avenue for “EMA” and “SARAH” as you complete the scavenger hunt to win a gift basket and help raise awareness and funds to protect older adults. This event is hosted Northern Kentucky Elder Maltreatment Alliance (EMA) and for the Alliance’s program SARAH (Shelter, Advocating, Removing and Housing).
