Thomas More’s Mumford named first team All-PAC; McGovney makes second team


Thomas More’s Drew Mumford and Nate McGovney have been named to the All-Presidents’ Athletic Conference following a vote of the league’s nine head coaches.

Mumford (Louisville, Ky./Christian Academy), a senior forward, was first team selection. He led the Saints in scoring and rebounding with 18.9 points and 4.9 rebounds per game.

Mumford shot 55 percent from the field and dished out 78 assists, while recording 10 blocked shots and 39 steals.

McGovney (Alexandria, Ky./Campbell County) a sophomore forward, was named to the second team. He was second in scoring for the Saints with 14.8 points per game and pulled down 4.1 rebounds per game.

McGovney had 34 steals and 63 assists to go with seven blocked shots.

Thomas More ended the season at 17-10 overall and 11-5 in the PAC as it advanced to the semifinals of the PAC Championship Tournament.
