Next Level Academy offering summer camp program for kids, offering physical fitness, creative activities


This summer, Next Level Academy in Wilder will be offering an innovative program for kids.

The program, known as G.Y.M.M., Growing Young Minds and Muscles, is a summer-long fun and educational sports camp. Next Level’s 23,000 square foot indoor facility will give campers the opportunity to learn new skills and improve skills they already have in a fun and safe environment.

G.Y.M.M. is a 10-week summer day camp for children ages 6-14. It will begin June 1st and end August 7th and will run Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Expert trainers will take the campers through a physical fitness and educational plan. Campers will get sports specific exercise and training, time for education and creativity, and the opportunity to hear from professional guest speakers on topics such as nutrition and safety.

“This program is a cost efficient way for parents to provide both sports and educational activities over the summer for their children,” says Bob Arnold, owner of Next Level Academy.

A number of sports and games will be introduced to the campers throughout the summer. In addition to the traditional sports such as basketball, volleyball, and baseball, campers will get to experience, golf, futsal, obstacles courses, and even quidditch.

Educational activities will include creative thinking in math, science, arts and crafts, and board games. The camp will also allow for kids to have some educational down time.

Next Level is offering a variety of camp packages. The first package is 1-5 weeks of camp Monday through Friday at $100 per week. The second package is 6-10 weeks of camp Monday through Friday at $90 per week. A single day of camp will be $40 and a half day of camp will cost $25. Parents can also pay an additional $5 for early drop off or late pick up. Sign up for five weeks or more and your camper will receive a free camp t-shirt.
