Thomas More College in Crestview Hills has named Jeff Briggs Vice President of Finance and Operations.
Briggs spent the past five years as controller for Xavier University. During that time, he served as the chief accountant, directing finance operating functions including accounting and reporting, accounts payable, bursar and student billing, fixed assets, payroll, purchasing and tax.
Prior to Xavier, Briggs served as controller at Mount Saint Joseph University and has a decade of experience in public accounting with Ernst &Young.
“We are very excited for the arrival of such an experienced finance person with a background in higher education as Jeff Briggs,” said Thomas More College President Dave Armstrong. “His history at a small Catholic private college and large Catholic university will serve him very well as we advance the mission of Thomas More College.”
Briggs says he is drawn to the mix of mission and operating challenges a Catholic college community provides.
“It is a privilege to join the Thomas More community in the role of Vice President of Finance and Operations,” said Briggs. “The momentum and energy building at Thomas More make this a truly unique place.” Briggs begins with Thomas More July 6.
