Ann B. Henn, an Edgewood attorney, was recently honored in Frankfort for 15 years of service on the Kentucky Legislative Ethics Commission.

The commission is an independent, bi-partisan group which oversees the Code of Legislative Ethics, advises legislators and lobbyists regarding compliance with the ethics laws, and investigates and resolves ethics issues raised by citizens.

Henn was originally appointed to the commission by then-Senate President Larry Saunders.

Because of her outstanding work on the commission, she was reappointed to two more terms on the commission by then-Senate President David Williams. After that, she was appointed to a fourth term, this time as the commission’s “bi-partisan” appointment, with the agreement of both Williams and House Speaker Greg Stumbo (D-Prestonsburg).

“Ann is very knowledgeable in the law, and her work on the Commission has always been fair-minded and even-handed,” said Judge Anthony Wilhoit, the commission’s executive director. “Her appointment and reappointment by leaders of both parties shows that she’s very well-respected.”

Prior to serving on the Ethics Commission, Henn worked for nine years as an attorney at the Kentucky Court of Appeals. She has also worked with the Crestview Hills law firm formerly known as Buechel, Conley and Schultzman.
