The 2015 “Banger Mayes” Bluegrass and American Roots Music Festival, also known as Mayes Bluegrass Festival, will take place Saturday, Aug. 15, at Bellevue Beach Park in Bellevue.
The festival will honor Banger Mayes, a long-time resident of Grants Lick, who has traveled almost every state in the union in support and appreciation of Bluegrass and American Roots Music. The festival, free to the public, will be a one-day bonanza of Bluegrass and American roots music on the Ohio River from noon to 10 p.m.
The Bellevue Beach Park has been voted one of the top ten public parks in Greater Cincinnati for many years. It is situated on the banks of the Ohio River with the Cincinnati skyline as a backdrop. Stretching multiple blocks of riverfront, there will be regional food and drink vendors available throughout.
The main stage will host regional and national acts. To keep up to date on the musical lineup and more, find them on Facebook here.
