Dalton Anderson of Kenton County 4-H exhibited a steer that received Reserve Grand Champion honors at the Kentucky State Fair.
The Morning View steer sold for $20,250 and was purchased by Centerplate, Inc., Carney’s Feed Mill, Farm Credit Mid-America and Sam Moore.

Anderson, a Kenton County 4-H Livestock project member, also exhibited the Reserve Grand Champion 4-H Market Steer during the 2014 Kentucky State Fair.
During the prestigious Kentucky State Fair Sale of Champions, eight 4-H and FFA exhibitors sell their champion livestock to hometown and national supporters. The animals represent the Grand and Reserve Grand Champions in each of their respective species as selected during the Fair’s livestock show.
The Kentucky State Fair features one of the most esteemed livestock shows in the nation and winning a class is highly coveted.
