The 15th-ranked Thomas More College men’s soccer team played DePauw University to a 2-2 tie Tuesday in a non-conference match at BB&T Field in Crestview Hills.
With the tie, the Saints are 8-1-1 and the Tigers at 6-1-2.

Thomas More took a 1-0 lead with 13:25 mark when senior forward Austin Juniet (Fort Thomas, Ky./Newport Central Catholic) scored unassisted on a breakaway. DePauw tied the match at 1-1 when Julian Gonzalez scored unassisted at the 20:12 mark.
The Tigers took a 2-1 lead at the 74:10 mark when Zach Hoffman scored off a Gonzalez assist. The Saints scored the equalizer at the 84:47 mark when freshman Jacob Hensley (Cold Springs, Ky./Newport Central Catholic) scored off a rebound.
Neither team could find the back of the net in the two 10-minute overtime periods and the match ended in the 2-2 tie.
Freshman goalkeeper Jeff Paulin (Alexandria, Ky./Bishop Brossart) earned the win as he played all 110 minutes and allowed two goals, while recording four saves.
Thomas More out-shot DePauw, 22-18, and won the battle of corner kicks, 7-3.
The Saints return to action on Sunday when they travel to Latrobe, Pennsylvania to play Saint Vincent College in both teams’ Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) opener. Kick-off is scheduled for 2:30 p.m.
