Jack Gatlin of Freund, Freeze & Arnold elected president of Northern Kentucky Bar Association


Jack S. Gatlin of the Freund, Freeze & Arnold law firm, has been elected president of the Northern Kentucky Bar Association.

Since 1984, the Northern Kentucky Bar Association (NKBA) has grown in members, projects, and services and in the process has become an integral part of the Northern Kentucky community.

It is the only local provider of Continuing Legal Education (CLE) courses. Over 90 percent of the attorneys in Northern Kentucky with Kentucky licenses belong to the Northern Kentucky Bar Association.

A fourth generation Kentuckian, Gatlin has deep roots in Western Kentucky, grew up in Louisville, graduated from the University of Kentucky College of Law, spent most of his adult life in Northern Kentucky.

He is Erlanger City Attorney, Independence City Attorney and served as the Grant County Attorney. He lives in Northern Kentucky with his wife, April, and their four children.

Gatlin concentrates his practice in three primary areas: municipality law, small business law and complex litigation. Additionally, he has significant experience in strategic business planning and consulting as well as dispute resolutions.

As a small business attorney, he serves as general counsel to many small and mid-sized corporations and has extensive experience counseling owners, executives, and officers in all areas of their business, including corporate formation, mergers and acquisitions, dissolution, succession planning, contract formation, government regulation, employment decisions, and property ownership and management. As a complex litigator and trial attorney, having tried dozens of cases to a jury in Ohio and Kentucky, Gatlin has experience litigating matters on behalf of businesses, banks and individuals.
