Klosterman Bread, a family-owned bakery headquartered in Cincinnati, wrapped up its Pink Loaf campaign benefitting The Pink Ribbon Girls, on October 31.
In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Klosterman Bread donated a portion of the proceeds from the Pink Loaves sold throughout the six-week campaign to The Pink Ribbon Girls. Consumers showed support by purchasing specially marked Pink Loaves in local grocery aisles where participating items are sold. Collectively, Klosterman Bread reached its goal of raising $10,000 for The Pink Ribbon Girls.
One hundred percent of the proceeds raised from the campaign were donated to The Pink Ribbon Girls, an outreach mission aimed to provide breast cancer awareness to young women.
They aim to launch new educational and support efforts to expand young women’s knowledge on breast cancer. For women in the United States, death rates from breast cancer are higher than any other cancer and one in eight women will develop breast cancer in their lifetime.
“In our fourth year of holding the Pink Loaf Campaign, we are so excited to see such success,” said Kim Klosterman, CEO, Klosterman Bread.
