Thomas More’s SAAC accepting donations through Dec. 13 to benefit Brighton Center


The Thomas More College Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is collecting items to benefit the Brighton Center in Newport until Sunday, Dec. 13, 2015.

On Saturday, Dec. 12, the athletic department will accept items to donate to the Brighton Center in lieu of admission to the Saints’ basketball doubleheader with Grove City College at the Connor Convocation Center.

The Brighton Center is in need of the following items: cleaning supplies, personal hygiene items, clothing (new or gently used), canned meats, cereal, soup, spaghetti sauce, pasta, peanut butter, canned fruit, diapers (size 3, 4, 5), blankets, towels, early childhood education supplies, bed sheets, garbage bags, gallon zip lock bags, hats, gloves, scarves, etc.

The top-ranked Thomas More women’s basketball team will play the Wolverines in the first game at 2 p.m., followed by the Thomas More versus Grove City men’s game at 4 p.m.
