Gov. Matt Bevin has announced the appointment of Greg Thomas as Deputy Secretary of the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.
Thomas has worked for LG&E and KU Energy LLC for more than 25 years.

“Iam thrilled to have Greg Thomas joining the Transportation Cabinet as Deputy Secretary,” said Bevin. “His extensive private sector experience in providing statewide services and managing large budgets will be extremely beneficial for the Transportation Cabinet.”

In this role, Thomas also set the strategic direction for electric distribution operations, including investment planning, budgeting and prudent management of a $250 million operating and capital annual budget.
“After many years in the private sector, I look forward to serving the citizens of the Commonwealth and working with the talented people in the Transportation Cabinet,” said Thomas.
Thomas has a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Tennessee.
He lives with his wife, LuAnn, live in Louisville. They have two children.
