On behalf of the LIFT (Local Investments for Transformation) Kentucky Coalition, I applaud the House of Representatives, Speaker Stumbo, and Leader Hoover for their bipartisan support of LIFT Kentucky, and the faith they are showing in Kentucky voters.
The State Senate should listen to the growing coalition of 80+ business, civic, and government groups from rural and urban communities in the Eastern Coalfields all the way to the Jackson Purchase.
(Note: Local Option lets local voters decide wether they want to pay for new projects in their communities, by giving them the right to vote — up or down — on the projects and their costs).
It’s time to give voters an up-or-down vote this November.
