NKU’s Christine Roush named first-team All-Horizon League; Glick on All-Freshman squad

Northern Kentucky University women’s basketball players Christine Roush and Molly Glick were among those honored when the Horizon League announced its postseason award winners on Tuesday.

Roush was named to the All-League First Team, while Glick was tabbed for the All-Freshman Team.

“We’re all very excited for Chris and our program; this is a great honor and a great way for her to cap off the regular season in her senior year,” said head coach Dawn Plitzuweit. “Chris has worked diligently throughout her career to continue to improve on both ends of the court and was recognized for those efforts by the League.”

“Molly has had a very strong freshman season and it’s great to see that her efforts are rewarded with this recognition,” added Plitzuweit. “We look forward to her continued growth and development throughout her career here at NKU.”

The Norse have their sights set on Green Bay, Wisconsin, and the Horizon League Championship, which opens on Thursday, March 10 at the Kress Events Center.

NKU enters as the No. 5 seed and will take on the No. 8 seed Cleveland State in the first round. Tip time is set for approximately 2:30 p.m. Central (3:30 p.m. Eastern), with the action carried live on ESPN3.
