Olshan will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the 114-room, upscale lifestyle hotel, providing a locally curated destination for traveling guests and residents of the Covington and Cincinnati communities. As General Manager, Olshan plans to foster an environment that create authentic interactions between employees and guests.

“I embrace and believe in Aparium’s culture of combining the aspects of art and science into the guest experience,” Olshan explains. “We give our team the building blocks of great guest service—that’s the science. The art of it is how our team executes on that with their own originality.”

Olshan embraces a philosophy of leading by example, which he says helps employees feel empowered and supported to reach their highest potential.

“I will never ask a member of my team to do something that I, myself am not willing to do—we’re all in this to accomplish the same goal…create an experience our guests will remember,” Olshan said.

Olshan’s hotel career began at the early age of 5, when he helped fold guest towels alongside his parents who owned several independent hotel properties in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and West Virginia.

He has accrued more than a decade of professional hotel experience, most recently acting as the Director of Operations for The Inn at Dos Brisas, a Relais & Chateaux property in Washington, Texas. The hotel’s restaurant became the only Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star culinary destination in Texas during his tenure.

In 2012, Olshan gained extensive knowledge of property oversight and honed his management skills as the Director of Operations at the famed Greenbrier Resort & Spa in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia.

He spent three years with the legacy property, which included more that 700 guestrooms and cottages, 19 dining venues, leisure activities, retail shops, and a full service casino. He said maintaining the expectations and service of the 230-year old storied resort most challenging and rewarding experience of his career to.

Prior to joining the Greenbrier team, Olshan spent five years with Pennsylvania-based LRA Worldwide, as a quality assurance consultant.
