More than 1,400 Northern Kentucky University students attended the eighth annual “Business Week” event at Northern Kentucky University March 22 and 23.
The students came together to meet and learn from more than 100 business executives from across the world and the region.
The Haile/US Bank College of Business hosted the event, which included more than 70 unique sessions designed to help prepare NKU students for success in tomorrow’s working environment.
Regular classes were suspended to allow students to attend as many sessions as possible. Topics ranged from ‘Integrity and Ethics in International Business,’ to ‘Project Management – The Discipline and Real World Application.’
“Students had the amazing opportunity to hear and learn from experienced professional business leaders operating in multi-faceted functions from companies operating around the globe,” said Haile/US Bank College of Business Dean Rebecca Porterfield. “Our students were offered a real-world perspective that is truly unique and we hope, invaluable, as they get ready to launch their own business careers.”
The event included keynote addresses from Rich Boehne, Chairman of the Board, President & CEO of The E.W. Scripps Co.; Jason Vines, former Communications Chief for Chrysler, Ford and Nissan; Regan Forman, Vice President of Creative Strategy for Nickelodeon/MTV Networks; and Wendy Lea, Chief Executive Officer of Cintrifuse.
Attendance set a new record for the annual program, which began in spring 2009.
Beginning in 2017, Business Week will transition to a fall event. For more information, click here .
