Frontier Airlines added new nonstop service to Philadelphia today with a sold-out flight that departs at 7:50 p.m.
For the first time, low-cost carrier service is available nonstop from CVG to Philadelphia and will operate four weekly flights on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
“Travelers in Cincinnati have told us that they want more low fare Frontier flights,” said Daniel Shurz, senior vice president, commercial, Frontier Airlines.
“We’re thrilled to offer travelers this new low-cost, nonstop service to Philadelphia. We look forward to welcoming new passengers on-board and introducing them to our Low Fares Done Right philosophy.”
“The growth of Frontier at CVG over the last three years has been tremendous,” said Candace McGraw, chief executive officer, CVG.
“Frontier now offers 11 nonstop destinations and 50 flights a week. The success experienced by Frontier would not have been possible without the support of the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky community.”
Frontier began service from CVG in May of 2013 with one daily flight to Denver.
In March of this year, Frontier celebrated its one-millionth customer at CVG by awarding that passenger with free travel on Frontier for one year.
In addition to Denver and Philadelphia, and the three new markets that started last month (San Francisco, Los Angeles, Houston), Frontier also provides nonstop service from CVG to Atlanta, Dallas, Las Vegas, Orlando, Phoenix and Fort Myers.
