“It’s Time to Take the Lead” is the theme for the day-long Regional Women’s Summit set to be held at the Northern Kentucky Convention Center on Wednesday, June 29.
Sponsored by the Women’s Initiative of the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce, the day includes two keynote addresses, lunch and two breakout sessions on a variety of career topics during both the morning and the afternoon.
Betsy Myers, a nationally known, highly sought after speaker, will deliver the keynote addresses. She is the author of Take the Lead: Motivate, Inspire and Bring Out the Best in Yourself and Everyone Around You.
She served as the first White House Director of Women’s Initiatives and Outreach and has advocated for entrepreneurs and women-run businesses as an official with the Small Business Administration.
Following a stint at Harvard’s Center for Public Leadership, she now runs the Center for Women and Business at Bentley University. Fortune 500 corporations often seek her advice and counsel on how women can unlock potential and maximize their productivity.
The Summit is designed for women at all career stages—young professionals, mid and senior levels, women contemplating a second act/career change and entrepreneurs. Centering on the theme of leadership, session choices cover topics ranging from having better self confidence to leading meetings to determining one’s own brand.
“Women who attend the Summit will be able to bring practical tips back to the office,” says Summit Chair Laura Kroeger. “It is a day packed with knowledge and inspiration at a reasonable price. This is an economical way for companies to send women for a full day of professional development on timely topics.”
Registration fee is $159 in advance and $179 on Summit Day.
Companies sending five or more employees receive a 20% discount.
The Women’s Regional Summit is presented by PNC Bank with supporting sponsorship from Clark Schaefer Hackett CPAs, US Bank and Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield.
