LOGOMAT automation systems, Inc., a Hebron-based manufacturer of high-precision conveyor systems used in assembly and test applications, plans to hire five skilled employees to support newly-added sheet metal fabrication capabilities.
The expansion in workforce comes at the end of a $1.5 million project that included the construction of an 11,600 square foot facility that manufactures key components for LOGOMAT products, an operation that was once outsourced.
“This expansion is a huge step for LOGOMAT on a global scale,” said Philip Krups, LOGOMAT President and CEO.
“Our internal philosophy has been to be able to produce every part we need internally. Now, we’re finally able to do that. Having a complete in-house manufacturing operation for all parts, including high-end fabrication, is unique for a company our size. We’ll be able to cut down quote and lead times, offer more flexibility, and better serve our customers.”
Krups adds that this achievement of increased vertical integration is a testament of the highly motivated, skilled and professional team at LOGOMAT, which has a robust employee development program.
