Former Covington Mayor Chuck Scheper says local businesses have a huge stake in the achievement growth of Covington Schools.
Scheper, an advocate for Covington Independent Schools (CIPS), will discuss the issue Thursday, September 15th when he moderates a discussion with Superintendent Alvin Garrison and Covington Partners Executive Director Stacie Strotman at the Covington Business Council monthly luncheon at the Madison Events Center.
Scheper says the latest state testing scores shows Covington Independent Schools boasts the highest rated elementary school in Kenton County in Glenn O. Swing Elementary.
Further, he adds CIPS is the seventh most improved district in the state since 2012. Scheper will talk about the innovative approach educators have utilized and will disclose how businesses can and should take advantage of these improvements.
