The City of Erlanger will take part in the national campaign Greenlight A Vet to visibly show its support for veterans. The lights outside the municipal building will glow green through the weekend.
Green is the color of hope, renewal and well-being. “Green Light” is also a term commonly used to activate forward movement.
The campaign says America’s veterans are some of our nation’s bravest, hardest-working men and women. Since it’s hard to show them the appreciation they deserve when, back home and out of uniform, they’re more camouflaged than ever, the green light is a way to do that.
Greenlight A Vet is a campaign to establish visible national support for our veterans by changing one light to green.
See more information about the Greenlight A Vet campaign at http://www.greenlightavet.com and at the campaign’s Facebook page.
Meanwhile, here are two ways you can support the campaign:
* Change one light in a visible location in your home or office to green and keep it glowing every day as a symbol of support and appreciation for veterans.
* Take a picture of your green light and share it on social media using #greenlightavet.
