Thomas More College has added a new field of study called Ethical Leadership Studies. It combines leadership, business and ethics courses with the intention of producing leaders in the global community who are well-equipped to make ethical decisions in their organizations.
Four concentrations are offered: Meeting and Event Planning, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Lodging and Revenue Management, and Ethics.
According to John Wolper, Ed.D., Associate Vice President of Adult Education and Special Programs at Thomas More College, “This new major is the perfect fit for the institution that bears the name of our patron, Saint Thomas More, who gave his life for what he believed.” Dr. Wolper continued, “Graduates with this major will be able to make ethically informed decisions as they progress in their lives both academically and professionally.”
There are three degrees offered within Ethical Leadership Studies:
1. Master of Arts in Ethical Leadership —accelerated online program that prepares students to fulfill their leadership potential and receive training in skills that are critical for organizational success
2. Bachelor of Arts in Ethical Leadership —traditional undergraduate program that prepares students to be leaders while providing them a concentration in an area of their choosing: Lodging and Revenue Management, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Meeting and Convention Planning, and Ethics
3. Bachelor of Elected Studies in Ethical Leadership — a hybrid (online and on-ground) program designed for working adults to further their leadership abilities while providing training in one of four concentration areas: Lodging and Revenue Management, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Meeting and Convention Planning, and Ethics.
Ethical Leadership Studies at Thomas More College is a unique program that takes a multi-disciplinary approach to leadership. Combined with our outstanding liberal arts core, graduates of Ethical Leadership Studies will be prepared to lead from day one. This program can easily be added to an existing major for those students who wish to extend their leadership abilities and skills.
