Redwood hosts first Public Officials’ Day, giving political leaders a tour of the facility

Redwood hosted its first annual Public Officials’ Day event at its Ft. Mitchell campus last week.

Local and state political leaders toured Redwood and listened to testimony about the critical regional role Redwood plays in providing services to children and adults with severe and multiple disabilities and the current issues facing parents, guardians and caregivers.

Event attendees met with parents, teachers, caregivers, administrators and community leaders to better understand the importance of advocacy for people with disabilities and to hear personal testimonies on efforts to promote the long-term health and independence of Redwood’s clients.
