Master Provisions, a faith-based nonprofit that offers food, clothing and orphan care to people in need, has elected new board leadership and a new member.
Kenneth Webb was elected to the Board of Directors.
He is Co-Pastor of Zion Global Ministry in Covington and also leads a weekly college student ministry at Northern Kentucky University. Previously, Webb was Community Relationship Manager at Fifth Third Bank in Cincinnati and served as Interim President of Life Learning Center in Covington.
“We are pleased to welcome Kenneth Webb to Master Provisions’ Board,” said Roger Babik, President. “We value Ken’s business expertise as well as his personal and spiritual leadership. We know his insights and energy will be assets as our entire team works to serve others.”
Mr. Webb was elected at the Board’s December meeting with his term beginning in January.
”In the Gospel of Matthew, Jesus says ‘Inasmuch as ye did it unto one of these my brethren, even these least, ye did it unto me,’” Mr. Webb said. “Master Provisions has taken this scripture reference literally and is doing and taking care of the least of these. I’m so humble and grateful for an opportunity to serve in this vineyard. God is up to something at MP and I’m blessed to be a part of this great move of God.”
At the same meeting, Jason Wessel became Chairman, after serving the previous year as Chair-Elect. Wessel is Assistant Vice President of Professional Services at St. Elizabeth Healthcare.
“Along with the rest of the Board, I am grateful to have Kenneth Webb join in our work,” Mr. Wessel said. “I’m also grateful to Doug Newhouse who finished his terms as Board Chairman in December. His wisdom and guidance have been instrumental in the mission of Master Provisions.”
Newhouse was named an emeritus board member.
Season Huff was elected treasurer/secretary of the Board. She also chairs the Board’s Human Resources/Finance Committee and serves Crossroads Church as controller.
Master Provisions operates a food outreach program in the Northern Kentucky/Greater Cincinnati region that supplies four million pounds of food annually to area nonprofits that feed the hungry. The program also provides food and logistical management for monthly mobile food pantries in Covington and Ludlow.
The organization also provides clothing to nonprofit agencies who aid the poor, and recruits financial sponsors for orphans in Togo, Ukraine and Guatemala. To learn more or make a secure online donation, visit masterprovisions.org.
