SATURDAY, APRIL 1
RACE 1
VOUCH FOR KITTEN and WEDDING DAY KITTEN form a tough entry for perennial leading owners Ken and Sarah Ramsey. VOUCH FOR KITTEN looks like the stronger of the two but WEDDING DAY KITTEN is definitely capable of winning for Mike Maker who has wrapped up yet another leading training title. FREUDLAND woke up in her second career start at Aqueduct and continued improvement makes her dangerous.
RACE 2
PROM THEME has been running well and looks like a winner for Doug Danner, who has had an outstanding meet. Going into the final three nights of racing his win percentage is 39% with over 78% of his runners finishing in the money. MY FOUR REWARDS exits the same race as the top pick and figures to be the one to beat. LOOKS LIKE SIS has been off since December but drops to the bottom and is a contender.
RACE 3
WIT BLITZ is a Claiborne home bred who was closing ground to finish second in her debut. She moves up a notch in class for her return and gets the nod with Franklin back aboard for Tom Drury. BRILLIANT KITTEN comes off of a solid effort on the Fair Grounds turf. She has the benefit of races around two turns and will be running late. CARLIE Q stretches out after showing good speed sprinting and is the one to catch.
RACE 4
GONNA FIND HER has been running against better and appears to be in a good spot to get her maiden win tonight. FOUR EMILY also takes the class drop and gets blinkers for the first time. BRIXTON has been running well on the bottom and is a contender.
RACE 5
REVOLVER SESSIONS was a beaten favorite last out but may have needed that one after a six month layoff . She looks like a winner for Wesley Ward with Jimenez picking up the mount. PRINCESS HEART drops in class and could be tough at this level. OLA GATITA has the speed to be a contender.
RACE 6
DAC loves this track. He has won the Prairie Bayou two years in a row and may have been the best in the Forego when he lacked room in the stretch. He will be rallying from off of what should be an honest pace and gets the nod in a very good closing night allowance race. HOLLYWOOD TALENT beat the top pick in the Forego and has the speed to be on or near the lead in here. He figures to be the one to catch. NAVAL GAZER has been off since September but runs well fresh and was very impressive winning his only race over the Turfway surface.
RACE 7
GREEN GOLD moves up in class after a sharp win and could spring the mild upset for Grant Hofmans with Quinonez back aboard. CAT’S IN THE MOOD is running well right now and has a solid record over this track. He will be tough to beat. HEUSTON prefers more distance but needed his last race and could run well at nice odds.
RACE 8
RULELIKECLEOPATRA loves this track and is riding a four race win streak. Give her the edge for Doug Danner who looks to close out the meet in winning fashion. PORRIDGE is a three year old taking on the older runners but she has the speed to be on or near the lead and is the one to catch. TIZZY BE HOT fits in here.
RACE 9
MATAR ran well to finish second when dropped to this level last out. He appears to be in a good spot to win another one for Wes Ward and Jimenez. PERSIAN KING faded in the stretch last out against better but looks dangerous against this bunch. OWL CREEK wants more distance but will be running late.
