Dominion Senior Living is breaking ground on a new specially designed community for seniors, Dominion Senior Living of Florence on Wednesday, June 14, at 11 a.m.
Representatives from the Dominion Senior Living corporate office and the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce will be present as they break ground on the $10.3 million community which will provide compassionate care in a faith-based, meaningful environment.
Dominion Senior Living of Florence will have 45 assisted living and 15 memory care apartments across 46,300 square feet. It is located at 4009 Seligman Drive in Florence.
In addition to the groundbreaking ceremony, the grounds will be dedicated through prayer and a Bible with handwritten prayers from company leaders will be placed in the foundation of the building. This thoughtful act shows that their commitment to faith is present in every part of the community’s development. This dedication ceremony is done at all Dominion Senior Living properties as the team members thoughtfully prepare their hearts and minds to create a community which cares for seniors in a way that aligns with their mission of “honoring God through service to seniors.”
The community will strive to meet and exceed seniors’ spiritual, mental and physical needs on a daily basis through technological integration, on-site enrichment activities and professionally trained nurses and caregivers. Dominion Senior Living of Florence is expected to open in the fall of 2018. The media is invited to attend the groundbreaking of this new senior living community.
This new senior living community will provide compassionate care and create 50 new jobs in Florence. It will have nurses and caregivers available 24 hours a day in a safe, secure environment with trained professionals.
FBT ranked ‘gold’ by Women in Law Empowerment Forum
The Women in Law Empowerment Forum (WILEF) has released its list of Gold Standard Certification recipients for 2017. A total of 44 law firms throughout the United States were chosen for the leadership roles achieved by their equity women partners. Frost Brown Todd (FBT) was recognized as a “five-time Gold Standard firm,” having received its initial certification in 2011.
“We are proud to be a five-time winner of the WILEF award,” says Kim Mauer, chair of FBT’s Women’s Initiative. “This award shows that we are moving in the right direction. But, even as the requirements to win this award continue to move up, we know that we also need to continue to work even harder to create a firm where everyone is encouraged to be their full self and, as a result, to be able to work even more effectively for our clients.”
To be considered for inclusion, firms had to meet at least four of seven criteria regarding the percentage make up of women in firm leadership and compensation:
• 20% of equity partners or, alternatively, 33% or more of the attorneys becoming equity partners during the past 12 months are women
• 15% of firm and U.S. branch office heads are women equity partners
• 20% of the firm’s governance committee are women equity partners
• 20% of the firm’s compensation committee or its equivalent are women equity partners
• 25% of the firm’s practice group/department heads are women equity partners
• 15% of the top half of the firm’s equity partners in terms of compensation are women
• 7% of women equity partners are women of color or 3.5% of women equity partners are LGBT (new criteria for 2017)
