Women are powerful. Women create businesses, lead companies, and re-define industries and have the power to influence the way business experts approach marketing and advertising for women-led businesses.
The Women’s Business Center of Kentucky’s mission is to provide elite business training and marketing support to women entrepreneurs across Kentucky. In six years of existence, the Center has recognized that there is one constant across the board: women, as powerful as they are, still encounter barriers that threaten their business growth and success.
This year’s 5th Annual Women in Business Expo & Conference will focus on sharing ideas to help women break through barriers to effectively improve their success in the business world.
It will be held at the Muhammad Ali Center in Louisville on September 26.
Whether it’s through establishing networks, learning about important business certifications, or receiving valuable advice and instruction from some of the industry’s leading experts, the Women in Business Expo & Conference is the place to see ways to break through barriers.
“We believe women are powerful,” said Director Phyllis Alcorn. “Women become even more powerful when inspired and guided by strong female leaders. At this year’s expo, attendees can expect to hear from some of Kentucky’s most prolific women in business including Krystal Ball, Former MSNBC Host, Author, Journalist, & Founder of the People’s House Project; Niki Brown, Reverend, Author, and Motivational Speaker; Sadiqa Reynolds, CEO & President of the Louisville Urban League; and Nikki Jackson, Senior Vice President and Regional Executive of the Louisville Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, just to name a few.”
Hosted by Community Ventures, the US Small Business Administration, and the Women’s Business Center of Kentucky, the Women in Business Expo & Conference has been the flagship event for women owned business conferences in the state of Kentucky for the past five years.
With expo vendors, breakout sessions, keynote speakers, and the highly anticipated business pitch contest, this year’s expo is a can’t miss event!.
