Last chance this year to check out galleries, shops and businesses on the Pike Street Stroll is tonight

The last Pike Street Stroll of the season takes place tonight.

The Pike Street Stroll is a monthly evening event (5-8 p.m.) along the Pike Street corridor between Holman and Scott Streets from May-October.

Guests are encouraged to browse over 35 art galleries, shops, businesses, restaurants and bars along the corridor, while enjoying local music from street buskers.

In celebration of the last Pike Street Stroll of the season, GLOW Gallery will be live painting on its alley wall at 264 Pike Street.

The GLOW Mural is partially inspired by the “LOVE the COV” promotional campaign circulating around Covington. The mural is designed to beautify aesthetically while including content that explores the importance, power and our connection to LOVE. GLOW Gallery will also release a version of the “LOVE the COV” sticker that will tie in with the mural’s design.

“In partnership with Renaissance Covington and the Pike Street Stroll  we announce the Launch of the new GLOW Gallery Studio MURAL. This 70 foot wide graffiti painting will run along the entire exterior alley side of the gallery.” says Colin Rowland, lead artist and GLOW Gallery owner.

Rowland and Daystar (aka Ben Thomas) will be leading the painting efforts tomorrow night. GLOW gallery is accepting donations to assist in covering additional materials and in support of the hard working artists involved with the design and painting of this mural.
