“Light-Up The Levee” Sunday, November 25th will anchor A Season of “Winter Wonder on the Levee!” It kicks off on Sunday at the Newport Levee, 5:30-9:30 p.m.
Enjoy ice skating rink, an LED light show, fireworks, Santa Claus, a concert by the Clyde Brown Band, and more coming together to launch three months of spectacular events.
Newport on the Levee will present “Winter Wonder on the Levee,” a three-month extravaganza that kicks off with its 10th annual “Light up the Levee” Grand Illumination tree-lighting celebration on Sunday, November 25. The exciting schedule of “Winter Wonder on the Levee” events and new experiences promises to captivate audiences throughout its 100-day run, culminating on President’s Day Weekend February 18.
One of the region’s best-loved holiday events, “Light-Up the Levee” is a sparkling night of family fun, with over 5,000 people attending each year.
Entering into its 10th year of holiday wonder, Santa will not only illuminate 1.4 million lights on a 50-foot tree for a dazzling light show, but will venture around Newport on the Levee, lighting up other new exciting activations. This family-fun event is FREE.
At 5:30 p.m. the new “Ice Skating on the Levee” ice skating rink opens. Operated by the same world-renowned NHL, Olympic and commercial venue ice rink operators such as The Rink at Bryant Park in New York City.

● Over 9,000 gallons of water frozen to create a rink nearly ½ the size as a regulation NHL rink

6:00 p.m. Santa’s grand arrival
6:15 p.m. Santa moves into his home on the Levee
6:30 p.m. The Clyde Brown Band Concert – Cincinnati Magazine’s “Best of the City”. The Clyde Brown Band, whose lead vocalist has performed in concert with Billy Ocean, Wilson Pickett, The Stylistics and The Temptations. Clyde Brown has also recorded with legends such as Sister Sledge, Ray Charles and Billy Preston.
7:00 p.m. Christmas tree lighting and Fireworks show
7:30 p.m. (and every half hour thereafter) LED light show set to holiday music
10:00 p.m. Ice skating closes for the evening; reopens Monday, November 26 at 4 p.m.
